What will my child's surgery involve?

For more information on many aspects of your child's surgery, including anesthesia for children, pre and post-op procedures, and the out patient surgery procedures at St. Luke's and St. John's, please refer to the Patient Info page of this website.

What can my child eat or drink before surgery?

That depends on where your child is going to have surgery.
If surgery is scheduled for Monday, you must follow St John's Mercy Medical Center's instructions.
If surgery is on Thursday, you must follow St. Luke's Hospital's instructions.
